Applied Tech Spotlight
Built to rapidly feed and insert clips, the VIM-600-L locking punch with clip staging has a range of flexible adapter options that allow fixturing a variety of process environments. It can perform automatic clip insertion adapted for 6-axis robot EOAT, top mount for SCARA, and stationary weldment surface mounting. The robust precision hammer and punch lock into position allowing insertion horizontally, vertically, or multiple angles at high insertion rates.

Punch position sensors provide PLC feedback for home, staging OK, and insertion depth verification ensuring cycle consistency. Visumatic tooling tips are custom engineered to interface with towers and component surface details allowing maximum assembly efficiency and accuracy.
The Visumatic VIM-600 streamlines production lines by providing efficient automatic clip insertion that replaces tedious manual hardware placement. This industrial system utilizes an enclosed, microprocessor-controlled feeder that minimizes noise and debris while rapidly sorting and delivering a wide variety of plastic or metal clips. Engineered to easily drop into modern automated assembly cells, the platform seamlessly pairs with collaborative robots (cobots) alongside traditional 6-axis and robotic arms to maximize manufacturing throughput.
